Fluid and thermodynamic calculations

The demands placed on modern, innovative consumer goods have increased continually in recent years.

The functionality of products is being compressed into an ever tighter space. The power density of electric loads is constantly increasing. This is resulting in problems with the dissipation of heat losses. Maximum permissible system temperatures are being reached and exceeded.

In the past, such problem areas were investigated in a series of long-term test and experiments. The outlay required for prototype manufacture and the associated costs were enormous. Only a very limited amount of knowledge was gained by this “trial and error” methodology.

H&H therefore offers thermal simulation as an innovative solution. Modelling the actual geometry and combining it with a comprehensive description of the flow and thermal conditions makes it possible to reliably predict the system behaviour. Precise analyses of the calculation results provide a new understanding of the product. The optimisation approaches thus devised can be used for the targeted improvement of the product. This significantly reduces the number of prototypes.

Integrating these thermal and flow simulation models provides an iterative calculation with numerous analysis options.
